Our COMPANY

In 2020 SMB Holding added a brand-new company, Al-Rasana Medical, and also completed the acquisition of Resonance Medical company increasing its portfolio specialising in consultancy and delivery of medical equipment throughout Iraq. Our company is focused providing international products to improve the current medical sector, in 2020 enormous pressure on healthcare around the world increased and our medical teams were at the forefront procuring and installing critical equipment to hospitals and health centres during the pandemic.

Since 2017 we have been working in the medical sector and completed multiple government, INGO and private client projects, this knowledge and team members have now migrated across to Al-Rasana enabling the drive that is needed to become a leading medical equipment provider. Regulations are constantly changing for importation of medical devices and Al-Rasana are always in need of manufacturers that are willing to work with us to gain more of the market share within the whole of Iraq.

INTRODUCTION

SMB Holdings is a group of companies comprising of 11 subsidiary companies which are merged corporately, but still retain their individual identities. This strategy allows the subsidiaries to effectively mobilise their expertise and resources to meet and exceed the client’s expectations.

An experienced company within multiple sectors delivering; Civil and construction engineering, medical equipment and training, specialised transportation and procurement, security services and food industry. A diversified company having the ability to form turn-key solutions for clientele, SMB Holdings is constantly changing due to company acquisitions or new formation of companies due to the need within the Iraqi market.

The most recent company formation, Al-Rasana for medical devices and applications, for the Federal Iraqi market, was established in 2020 and is currently registering all the manufacturers it has distribution rights for with the Ministry of Health in Baghdad, Iraq. In 2021 Al-Rasana market share has increased due to the legal requirements of registration and are constantly searching for new distribution agreements with manufacturers that can match technical and commercial requirements of this expanding market. Also in 2020, the acquisition of Resonance for medical equipment was completed, this company has been conducting medical procurement and installation since 2015 and has a vast experience within the Iraqi market. This company is also licensed within Kurdistan enabling a complete country wide coverage for medical projects.
